The main differences between men’s and women’s chin/jawline treatments are the amount of filler and the injection techniques. Because men have thicker skin and larger facial features, they tend to need more doses of filler than women. For men, we’re also focusing on injecting in a way that creates a more defined, angular, or strong chin or jawline, while women are injected in a way that creates a softer appearance.
Results with dermal fillers are visible immediately! There may be some slight swelling (that will go away soon after your appointment), but you’ll be able to notice enhanced volume right after. On average, results last anywhere from 3 to 18 months, but their duration can vary depending on the area treated, the type of filler used, and your lifestyle. Maintenance is required to maintain optimal results and prolong the effects.
At AESTHETICS 360°, we use Juvéderm, Restylane, and RHA Collection, which are FDA-approved dermal fillers that are safe and clinically tested. Each one works a little bit differently, but luckily, you don’t have to be an expert in fillers: that’s our job! Our team will make recommendations to ensure you are matched with the right filler type.
You should avoid exercising for the rest of the day after a filler treatment to reduce the likelihood of bruising or swelling. (This includes any intense forms of physical activity that increase blood flow to the face, such as swimming or hiking.) All normal activities can be resumed the following day.

Treatment Process
When it’s time for your treatment, you’ll be brought to one of our comfortable aesthetic treatment rooms. From there, we’ll take a series of photos so we can track results and progress. Then, we’ll cleanse and disinfect the treatment area with an aseptic technique. Your Aesthetic Nurse Specialist will use facial marking and our state-of-the-art Accuvein “vein finder” to ensure precision and accuracy, as well as to reduce the chance of bruising. The whole appointment takes one to two hours on average.
Post-Treatment Expectations
After your facial balancing treatment is done, your face will be cleansed again, and a few more photos will be taken. We’ll review all post-treatment instructions thoroughly with you, and then schedule your clinical follow-up appointment (typically 2 to 3 weeks out). Many patients leave without any telltale signs of needle injection, but everyone is different. You can expect mild swelling and bruising that will resolve depending on how your body heals.
Natural Results
A minimum of 2 weeks is needed for the product to smooth out and settle in. However, before long, you’ll be enjoying a refined chin or jawline! It’s important to note that dermal fillers are not permanent, and their duration can vary depending on many factors. Maintenance is required to maintain optimal results and prolong the effects, so you should expect to schedule a follow-up treatment anywhere from 6-18 months after your initial procedure.
