VI Peels are virtually painless! You may experience slight warmth and tingling at the beginning of the treatment, but those feelings should quickly subside. VI Peel Frequently asked questions
Your skin will start peeling on or around day three, and then peel for about three to four days afterward. It’s important to note that everyone’s experience will be a little different, and some people may peel for more or fewer days.
Depending on your individual skin type and the skin condition we are treating, result times will vary. Your skin will recover in 2-7 days, with results continuing to improve in the weeks to follow.
The recommended frequency for a VI Peel can depend on several factors, including your unique skin type and aesthetic goals. One of our experienced Licensed Clinical Aestheticians will help you determine a long-term plan that’s right for you. In general, however, a VI Peel is suitable to receive anywhere from every 4 to 6 weeks to every 3 months.
The VI Peel remains on your skin for 4 hours after treatment, giving your skin a “tan” appearance during that time. You will be given full instructions for post-care and sent home with a product kit to use on your skin for the next 7 days. You should refrain from exercising for 72 to 96 hours after receiving a VI Peel and wait at least four hours before applying any makeup. Personalized Consultation
A free skin consultation and analysis will be the starting point for your journey to healthier, glowing and clearer skin. Our expert will learn about your skin history, what you’ve tried, product usage, and goals. A thorough skin assessment to include VISIA state of the art digital imaging will help us create a customized skin treatment plan for you.
Prepping Your Skin
When it’s time for your treatment, our Licensed Clinical Aesthetician will bring you to one of our comfortable aesthetic treatment rooms. First, we’ll take a series of photos so we can track results and progress. You’ll also need to sign an informed consent form. Before applying the VI Peel, your skin will be thoroughly cleansed of makeup, debris, and oil that could affect the penetration of the peel ingredients.
Peel Process
Your VI Peel will be applied with gauze on all areas of the face in a series of 1-6 layers, spaced one minute apart. The number of layers applied will depend on your skin and goals, but you can expect this process to take around 10 minutes. You may feel a tingling sensation, as well as warmth, but it should be completely tolerable. A handheld fan is offered for comfort.
Post-Treatment Care
Immediately after, our skincare specialists will thoroughly review post-treatment care instructions with you. You’ll be sent home with a post-peel kit, which includes products necessary for your post-treatment care for the next 7 days. If we’ve determined further treatments are needed, we’ll schedule your next VI Peel session before you leave the office. If another session is not recommended, we will schedule a clinical follow-up appointment for updated photos to show progress and results!

For optimal ongoing results, a series of 3 or more chemical peels spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on the individual.
The Vitalize Peel
The Vitalize Peel is great for those with mild to moderate skin conditions that need improvement, and is appropriate for all skin types. You should expect to see a yellowish tinge on the skin for about 2 to 3 hours afterward, with mild to moderate redness, and peeling is expected. Most patients will notice an improvement in their skin’s tone, clarity, texture, and a diminishment of fine lines. For desired results, usually 3 to 6 peels are recommended, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart, depending on the individual.
The Rejuvenize Peel
If you have moderate-to-severe skin imperfections, then the Rejuvenize Peel may be for you. Tolerance of this peel varies from patient to patient, and peeling can range from mild to sheet-like. You should expect a yellowish tinge on the skin for about 2 to 3 hours afterward, with mild to moderate redness. Once peeling is finished, there will be an improvement in tone, texture, clarity, fine lines, and sun damage. The Rejuvenize Peel is usually recommended in a series of 3 to 6 chemical peels, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
