Treatment Process
When you’re ready to move forward with scheduled treatment, our clinician will bring you to one of our comfortable aesthetic treatment rooms. First, we’ll take a series of photos so we can track results and progress. You’ll also need to sign an informed consent form. We’ll cleanse and disinfect the treatment area with an aseptic technique.
Your Aesthetic Nurse Specialist will use facial marking to ensure precision and accuracy and our state of the art Accuvein “vein finder” will be implemented to see through your skin to reduce the chance of bruising.
For some areas on the face, we will utilize our handheld facial aesthetic Clarius ultrasound device to guide injection and avoid prominent arteries and vascular areas. We’re one of only two medical aesthetic practices in SE Wisconsin to utilize this progressive technology to help ensure safe and accurate treatments.
Downtime Expectations
Sculptra treatment takes anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes. While many patients leave our practice without any telltale signs of needle injection, everyone is different. You can expect mild swelling and possible bruising in some areas of injection. This will resolve based on how your body heals.
After thorough review of post-treatment care instructions, future appointments will be scheduled. If additional treatment sessions are required, your next session will be scheduled for 4-6 weeks. “After” photos are taken 90 days after final treatment session.
Natural Results
Your skin will glow and look more youthful with Sculptra treatment. Unlike treatment with dermal filler, Sculptra results build over time. Because Sculptra is a biostimulant which generates new collagen, it will take up to 90 days after your final treatment session to see full results.
Results will build gradually over time and continue to improve beyond the 90-day mark. Annual maintenance treatments are recommended to continue to build collagen where it is naturally lost each year.
