While the technology is the same for men’s and women’s BBL Photofacials, the settings may be different. Because men tend to have thicker skin and more facial hair, adjustments to the wavelengths are often required. This requires a thorough knowledge of the nuances in treating male skin for safe and effective results.
The number of recommended treatment sessions is completely dependent on each patient’s unique skin history, skin condition and desired goals. It could be anywhere from 1 to 6 sessions, spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart. After a thorough skin assessment and consultation, our clinical BBL specialist will provide a customized treatment plan for you.
Although everyone is different, results will be noticed within 7-14 days for face. Body areas (such as hands, neck, chest, arms) take longer to heal and results may take 3 weeks or more.
Of course! Many of our male patients combine a BBL Photofacial with Botox to improve anti-aging, or chin and jawline fillers to enhance their appearance.
It is crucial to avoid strenuous exercise for a minimum of five days after treatment, especially activities that cause excessive heat and perspiration.

Personalized Consultation
We’ll start your journey to healthier, glowing, and clearer skin with a free consultation and analysis. Our Licensed Clinical Aesthetician will learn about your skin history, what you’ve tried, product usage, and goals. Then, we’ll use VISIA state-of-the-art digital imaging technology to see surface as well as sub-surface skin conditions. A customized treatment plan will be created for you to take home and consider. There is never any pressure to book a treatment!
Pre-Treatment Process
After a series of “before” photos are taken so we can track results and progress, you will relax on a comfortable treatment bed in one of our aesthetic treatment rooms. Protective eyewear will be positioned over your eyes, and the area that’s going to be treated will be fully cleansed, and a gliding gel will be applied. Comfort and safety are our top priorities!
Treatment Process
The BBL handpiece will be moved across your skin in a series of passes. The appropriate light wavelength and number of passes used during the procedure will vary depending on your skin and treatment goals. You can expect to hear beeping sounds as the laser handpiece glides over your skin, with a series of light flashes and a warm sensation. Your face will be cleansed again at the end of treatment, and cool compresses will be applied if needed
Post-Treatment & Results
All post-treatment care instructions will be reviewed, and if you are having a next session, that will be scheduled prior to leaving. After treatment, you can expect the skin to be pink or red and feel quite warm. But don’t worry, for most, the feeling of warmth and the redness will go down in a couple of hours. Mild swelling may occur.
Rejuvenating results will be on their way! Over the next week or two, pigment will rise to the surface and clear away. Areas of redness will clear, and pigmented areas will darken and rise to the surface to clear away within 7-21 days. Your skin will brighten and become more even in tone, and a new glow will appear!
